You’ve built a loyal clientele, and you don’t need a full-time commitment to keep growing it. Share a Chair is our part-time booth and suite rental program at Volt on Main in Lakeway, designed for stylists who want a beautiful, fully supported space to put down roots with their existing clients.
We keep it small on purpose: just 2 chairs, shared by 4 to 5 stylists, rented by the day of the week. That means a calm, uncrowded salon, no scheduling chaos, and a space that feels like yours on the days you’re here.
Two Ways to Rent a Chair
All Access ($150 per day)
Ideal for stylists who want minimal support or are still building their book.
Basic rentals are best suited to Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays.
Basic ($100 per day)
Just bring your tools and bleach. Everything else is covered.
All Access renters get priority booking on Tuesday through Friday, when our front desk is staffed.
Earn Discounted or Free Rent Through Retail
At Volt, your rent doesn’t have to be a fixed cost. Stylists can earn credit toward monthly rent, or take the commission as cash, through retail and extensions:
Retail shelves: Our shelves are stocked with Oribe, Unite, and Nutrafol. Earn 10% commission or credit toward your monthly rent.
In-house extensions bar: Nail every consult and upsell day-of installs. Earn 15% commission or rent credit.
Retail more and your rent can drop significantly, even to zero.

You choose the tier of rental that works for you: Basic or All Access. Based on your rental type, we’ll decide which days of the week the booth belongs to you and you’ll sign a contract for those days. You have full access to the salon, 8am to 10pm, on your contracted days.

Basic ($100/day) is best for Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays and includes the essentials. Stylists will be expected to bring in all of their own supplies.
All Access ($150/day) is a bring-your-tools-and-bleach experience with extra tools, foils, and gloves included. You’ll have access to our Goldwell color mixing machine, support from our online and social media marketing, a booking link and profile on our website, and new client opportunities. You'll be given priority booth access on Tuesday through Friday, when our front desk is staffed and available to support.

Yes. Stylists can earn credit toward monthly rent through retail sales (10%) and extensions bar sales (15%).

We’re looking for stylists with an established book of clients. Volt also sends new clients your way for All Access renters, with a 50/50 split on first-time visits booked through Volt.

We have just 2 rental chairs and they’re shared by a total of 4 to 5 stylists, so the salon never feels crowded.
